Examination of Public Records
SEC. 1.

Inspection of public records by customers of the Westchester Joint Water Works may be made on Thursdays between the hours of 1:30 and 4:30 P.M. at the office of the Westchester Joint Water Works, 1625 Mamaroneck Avenue, Village of Mamaroneck, New York.

 

SEC. 2.

Each customer making an inquiry of public records shall first complete a Public Records Inquiry form, providing his name and post office address, and a clear description of the record or records sought.

 

SEC. 3.

Records shall be obtained through the Public Records Access Officer, the Manager of the Westchester Joint Water Works.  In the event that access to a record is denied in whole or in part to a customer, and such customer wishes to appeal such denial, he may appeal such decision of the Public Records Access Officer to the Public Records Appeal Officer, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

 

SEC. 4.

Examination of records shall be made in the office only under the supervision of the Public Records Access Officer or his designated representative and in such manner as to safeguard the records and minimize interference with the normal operation of the Westchester Joint Water Works as determined by the Manager.

 

SEC. 5.

Copies of public records shall be made only by Westchester Joint Water Works personnel and a fee shall be charged in the amount of 25 cents per copy not in excess of 9" x 14" and 30 cents per copy for each record greater than 9" x 14" but no greater than 11" x 17".  Such copies of records shall be forwarded to the customer in an expeditious manner.
